PARIS -- SEQUANS Communications, a fabless semi-conductor company in the WiMAX/WiBro space, today announced that it has shipped equipment to CETECOM Labs for validation and conformance testing. The company’s WiMAX solution for Subscriber Stations (SQN1010 SoC) and Base Stations (SQN2010 SoC) will be in the first wave of WiMAX Forum certification to be conducted by CETECOM Labs, the WiMAX Forum's official certification facility.
The validation and conformance phase is necessary for CETECOM Labs, ensuring that its test procedures and equipment is operational. By participating in this phase, Sequans is demonstrating its commitment to offering the best possible WiMAX solution to its customers and is leading the way to WiMAX Forum Certification.
Sequans’ active participation in the preparation of the certification process, and its commitment to achieve interoperability between vendors, demonstrates its clear technical leadership in the WiMAX community.
“This lays the groundwork to deliver industry leading WiMAX solutions that are interoperable, secure, cost-effective, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor wireless broadband access,” said Bernard Aboussouan, VP Marketing & Business Development, SEQUANS Communications. Sequans will be among the first companies to submit products to become WiMAX Forum Certified™.”
