ZTE Drafts ITU Standards

GENEVA -- ZTE Corporation, China's largest listed telecommunications equipment provider, has been chosen by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to draft two important international standards that will help to shape the future of the world's next generation networks (NGN).

Following a meeting of the NGN Joint Rapporteur Group in Geneva, ZTE will now draft standards to cover the requirements and framework for crucial end-to-end quality of service (QoS) architecture for NGN (Y.e2eqos.1) and a QoS framework for IP-based access networks (Y.ipaqos).
