SINGAPORE -- LineFusion, a leading mobile applications developer in Asia, announced today that it has concluded an agreement with Newpalm, the mobile applications unit of chinadotcom, to launch a new MMS service based on its iSnapper Virtual MMS Camera application.
iSnapper is a virtual PC camera. It allows user to “snap” any image on the PC screen, and send it as a MMS message to mobile phones. It works like a digital camera. User could also add text and audio to be part of the MMS message. Unlike MMS photo albums, iSnapper does not require its users to visit a web site. It is a pervasive application that brings instant gratification to users. In addition to MMS, iSnapper also support Nokia Picture Message, Nokia Operator Logo, and EMS Picture Message formats.
“With just 2 clicks, iSnapper makes it so simple and interesting for anyone to create and send MMS messages,” said H. K. Cheong, Managing Director of LineFusion. “We believe iSnapper will provide a lot of fun to users who can now select their own content from the Internet.”
John Xiao, Chief Executive Officer of Newpalm (China) Information Technology Co., Ltd., said, “We are very excited to launch iSnapper in China. It is our commitment to provide creative and value added mobile services to our users in China. We expect to see a large number of our users downloading the virtual camera from chinadotcom portal when we launch the iSnapper service”.
